What people are saying about Trading FAQs
Use the experience of the pros
"John Forman is to be congratulated for bringing together the most frequently asked questions that most new traders want answered and in so doing gathers some of the best traders/writers of our time to answer them. Trading FAQs will guide you through all the basics as each question is answered with copious knowledge and experience, mostly with a common thread that all of us would be wise to adhere. Anyone new to trading can, and most will, inherit the pitfalls of trading if we blindly act without taking heed. Read the verse, take note of the gems, and use the experience of the pros to guide your trading knowledge.
Thanks John for taking the time to bring all these mentors to your quest of making us all better traders

One of the best works I’ve read on trading
"I've only read chapters 1 to 4 and I must say it is one of the best if not the best work I've read on trading, its honest and provides years of experience to the reader. I've only been trading a few years, managed to keep my original capital, luckily, and I wish I read something like this years ago. However a thought, maybe then I was not ready for it, I remember once I thought what a load of garbage money management and risk assessment was. Now I couldn't trade without position sizing and money and risk analysis along with stop losses. Averaging down was one of my most silly mistakes. Can't wait to finish the last chapters. Keep up the good work and as they say in Australia, "you're on a winner"

It’s gold for a new trader
"I'm sitting reading your book and I just have to tell you that SO far it's REALLY good. It's invaluable really (and even after all this time spent there are things that are being made clearer to me simply by virtue of the fact that they're being CLEARLY explained by people who KNOW what they're talking about)!!! It's 'Gold' for a new trader.

Save hours to get the same or better answers
"The segment on Value I think is very important. As a newbie wannabe trader, I spent COUNTLESS hours researching on the internet, going from one forum to another, newsletters, this and that. It's a simple formula:
Time X my hourly wage = Cost of the information
I wish I had this when I first decided to be a trader. At least I would be able to get past much of the noise. The FAQ is a great value because for what is probably less than the hourly wage of most middle class people, you save hours of researching to get the same or better answers. However, one should always keep his/her critical thinking skills in tact. There is no right or wrong, just what is suitable for oneself. Of course one must also be aware of ones own delusions.

Great list of questions
"I think you have a great list of questions and they encourage honesty as opposed to "get rich quick" sales pitches. Good work! - Carley"
Lessons most new traders won’t learn for years
"I must admit to finishing the book within a few days of receiving it – if only it were required reading for new traders.
From my perspective, being involved one way or another with the markets for nearly 10 yrs, and working as an analyst a bank, I found it a great compendium of much of the basic need to know lessons that most new traders won’t learn for years – especially that if they are still in the game for that long they’ll realize it’s not a road to easy riches.

What a great idea!
"As for your e-book, what a great idea! I especially like the fact that you bring in multiple points of view when answering the questions. And your team of contributors, what can be said about them but WOW. What an awesome assortment of industry traders and veterans! And like you’ve stated, you cover a vast array of topics – all the hot button items that first come to mind for a new trader. Good job.

Most pressing market questions answered
"In John Forman's book, he has gathered a roundtable of expert traders, trading mentors, and reliable analysts with years of market experience. Once and for all, John gets the most pressing market questions (for both investors and traders) answered by these experts. Such a roundtable of experts with years of experience helps covers answers from every angle such that little if anything is left out. Each person, both the readers of this book and the expert contributors, has and will have different approaches to the market. However, if one focuses on the common threads between the answers given by each expert to the same question, you will find the common conclusions most traders eventually reach. What may be most interesting to experienced traders is noticing the differences in the answers given, and learning from the styles and experience of each of these experts.

No need to be a beginner to gain something
"John truly did a terrific job. And while the intent was to help beginning traders with informative and diverse answers on a wide range of topics, I'd have to say John overshot his goal. You don't need to be a beginner to gain something from the book.

A great resource for new and seasoned traders
"John Forman has again put together a great resource for new and seasoned traders alike. The format is simple and convenient - just browse topics that look appealing and jump right to the section. There are a wide variety of great topics on trading - from the very practical (What is the difference between stop and limit orders?) to the more theoretical (How can I overcome my fear of pulling the trigger?). It's always interesting to hear multiple perspectives and that's what John has provided. A variety of trading experts weigh in on each topic with something to learn for each response. A great resource!
